Crash in Philadelphia
#1
Amtrak Engineer Brandon Bostian, stated through his attorney, that he had no recollection of the accident.

When taken to the hospital after the accident he stated to doctors that he did not know he had been in a train crash.

Head injury? Concussion? Amnesia?

I sincerely hope for Engineer Bostian's sake that he was in no way responsible for the accident however, I find it troubling that if he did not know he had been in a train accident while in the emergency room that the first and only phone call he would make would be to an attorney, who arrived within minutes at the hospital.

As a former BLE Local Chairman, who's primary interest is to protect and serve his fellow engineers, this incident gives me cold chills on the back of my neck.

My deepest condolences to the families who lost loved ones, and to those injured.
